This is where I worked on my idea of a motion controlled irrigation system for pest problems. Ever since, I’ve been working on motion sensitive systems to use for pest control for home use. These systems work in areas with no traffic and are suitable for people in their personal landscapes!
There is quite a bit of interest for this product, so we are working on and testing other types of pest control system. We hope to have some even better pest control ideas in the near future.
The system has a highly sensitive infrared sensor that operates unattended and sprays when movement is detected. It senses small or large animals and operates 24 hours a day. The energy-efficient circuits operate for up to 6 months (or 3000 cycles) on one 9-volt battery. It uses only 2 to 3 cups of water per event, so it can usually be used in communities with water restrictions.
The smart circuitry automatically dampens sensitivity in windy conditions to prevent false triggering. An adjustable sensitivity control changes the distance the unit can "see”. Each head measures 24 inches tall and has a detection range of 10 to 30 feet.
Ideal for keeping out night "visitors" (including deer and neighbors that have had too many cocktails) out of your gardens.
